Our clinical approach

Whole-Body Therapy. Evidence-Based Outcomes.

B2I's FYI model is grounded in somatic psychology and trauma-informed care. We integrate structured, non-contact physical wellness activities with evidence-based behavioral interventions — because research consistently shows that somatic engagement significantly enhances behavioral health outcomes for youth, particularly those with ADHD, trauma histories, and emotional dysregulation.

Our approach is not recreational. Every session is clinically structured, goal-directed, and aligned with each youth's individualized treatment plan. Somatic movement is the modality — therapeutic progress is the outcome.

Somatic Movement Intervention

Non-contact, clinically-supervised physical wellness activities that down-regulate the stress response, build attentional focus, and support emotional regulation.

Cognitive-Behavioral Skill Building

Evidence-based strategies to identify triggers, develop coping mechanisms, build prosocial relationships, and strengthen self-regulation across home, school, and community.

Trauma-Informed Practice

All programming is delivered through a trauma-informed lens — creating a predictable, safe, and strengths-based environment where youth feel regulated and respected.

Wraparound Care Coordination

Active collaboration with case managers, school counselors, therapists, and caregivers to ensure integrated, consistent support across every environment in a youth's life.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. FYI delivers Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS), a covered service under Medicaid managed care and OhioRise for eligible youth. A referral from a case manager or care coordinator is required to begin services.

For many youth, psychotropic medication has been prescribed primarily to manage behavioral dysregulation in the absence of effective non-pharmacological intervention. TBS at B2I is designed to address the underlying regulatory deficits — building emotional regulation, impulse control, and coping capacity through structured somatic engagement. While medication decisions are always made in collaboration with the youth's prescribing provider, many families find that consistent TBS participation supports a meaningful reduction in pharmacological management over time.

Our primary format is small-group therapeutic sessions, which build peer connection and prosocial skills alongside clinical progress. Individual sessions are available when clinically indicated by the treatment team.

Yes. All physical wellness activities are non-contact and clinically supervised. There is no sparring, no combat, and no physical risk. The activities are structured, purposeful, and therapeutically designed.

Referrals are submitted by a licensed case manager or care coordinator. Once received, our team will reach out within 48 hours to begin the intake process. You can also contact us directly with questions.
