Our story
Built on Purpose. Rooted in Community.
B2I Behavioral Health Services was founded on a simple belief: that every young person deserves access to care that meets them where they are — and helps them discover what they're capable of.
How it started
Reimagining How Children Receive Behavioral Health Care
For too long, behavioral health treatment for youth has meant sedentary, chair-bound intervention — expecting hyperactive, dysregulated young people to engage through talk alone. And when that fails, the clinical system too often turns to psychotropic medication as the primary tool for behavioral management. B2I was built on a different premise: that whole-body, somatic engagement is not just more enjoyable for youth — it is more therapeutically effective, and for many youth, it offers a meaningful path toward reducing or avoiding pharmacological intervention altogether.
By partnering with Boxing 2 Inspire LLC, we created a community-based therapeutic environment unlike any traditional clinical setting. Our wellness facility is where youth want to be. Structured somatic movement gives them a purposeful, regulated outlet. And the therapeutic relationships built in that environment — between Coach Ivan and each young person — become the foundation for lasting clinical progress.
Today, B2I is a certified Therapeutic Behavioral Services provider operating the Forge Youth Initiative (FYI), serving youth ages 8 and up in Mentor, Ohio and surrounding Lake County communities.
Mission & values
What We Stand For
To reimagine how children receive behavioral health care — replacing sedentary, disengaging intervention with holistic, movement-integrated therapy that meets youth where they are, activates their natural energy, and delivers the evidence-based clinical support they need to thrive at home, at school, and in their community.
Youth-centered care
Every clinical decision we make starts with what is best for the young person in front of us. We meet youth where they are — developmentally, emotionally, and physically — not where we expect them to be.
Clinical integrity
All services are delivered by a Qualified Behavioral Health Specialist under the active supervision of 2 Licensed Independent Social Workers with Supervisory designation (LISW-S). We hold ourselves to the highest standards of evidence-based, trauma-informed practice.
Community rootedness
We are not a distant provider. We are embedded in the Mentor community — present, accessible, and invested in the long-term wellbeing of the youth and families we serve.
Strength-based practice
We focus on clinical strengths and protective factors, not deficits. Structured somatic engagement teaches youth that consistent effort produces measurable growth — and we apply that same principle to every aspect of our therapeutic work.
