What we offer
Holistic Therapeutic Services for Youth
B2I Behavioral Health Services provides two clinically supervised programs for youth ages 8 and up: the Forge Youth Initiative (FYI) — delivering Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) for youth with complex behavioral health needs — and Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PRS) for any Medicaid-enrolled youth seeking structured skill-building support.
Core service
Forge Youth Initiative (FYI) — Therapeutic Behavioral Services
Most youth in behavioral health treatment are kinesthetic learners — full of energy, highly somatic, and clinically disengaged by sedentary intervention models. B2I's Forge Youth Initiative addresses this through a whole-body therapeutic approach: integrating evidence-based behavioral interventions with structured somatic movement, so youth are genuinely present, regulated, and invested in their own healing.
For many families, psychotropic medication has become the default tool for managing behavioral dysregulation in youth. Our FYI model offers a clinically supported alternative — reducing reliance on pharmacological intervention by addressing the underlying regulatory deficits through structured somatic engagement. The clinical evidence is clear: physical wellness and somatic movement significantly enhance behavioral health outcomes, improving emotional regulation, reducing anxiety and aggression, and strengthening the therapeutic alliance between provider and youth.
Also offered
Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PRS)
PRS is a baseline, standard Medicaid State Plan benefit — one of the most accessible behavioral health services available. Any youth with a standard Medicaid card and a basic DSM-5 mental health diagnosis should qualify. ADHD, generalized anxiety, mild depression — these are enough. No high-acuity threshold required.
PRS is ideal for families who want proactive, structured skill-building support for their child — not just crisis intervention. Sessions focus on daily living skills, emotional regulation, social skills, and community integration, delivered in the same supportive community-based environment as our Forge Youth Initiative.
Medicaid enrolled?
That's the primary eligibility requirement for PRS. No severe behavioral health diagnosis needed — just Medicaid enrollment.
What's included
What Every Youth Receives
Individualized Treatment Planning
Each youth receives a personalized, clinically-informed treatment plan developed in collaboration with their care team, family, and case manager — aligned with their behavioral health objectives.
Group Therapeutic Sessions
Our primary modality is small-group therapeutic sessions at our community-based wellness facility in Mentor, Ohio — where youth engage alongside peers in a structured, clinically-supervised environment. Group sessions build prosocial skills, peer accountability, and a sense of belonging alongside therapeutic progress.
Somatic Movement Intervention
Structured, non-contact physical wellness activities — including coordination, conditioning, and motor skill development — delivered in a safe, therapeutic context. Somatic engagement supports emotional regulation, attentional focus, and self-efficacy.
Behavioral Skill Building
Evidence-based cognitive-behavioral strategies to help youth identify triggers, develop emotional regulation skills, build prosocial relationships, and strengthen the coping mechanisms they need to function effectively at home, school, and in the community.
Family & Caregiver Collaboration
Consistent psychoeducation and communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers to generalize therapeutic skills across home environments and ensure continuity of care.
Wraparound Care Coordination
Active coordination with case managers, school counselors, therapists, and other providers to ensure integrated, trauma-informed, wraparound support for each youth.
Clinical rationale
Why Somatic Movement Therapy?
Research in somatic psychology and trauma-informed care consistently demonstrates that physical movement is a powerful clinical modality for youth with behavioral health challenges. Structured, non-contact physical wellness activities provide a regulated, purposeful outlet that traditional sedentary therapy cannot replicate — particularly for youth with ADHD, trauma histories, or emotional dysregulation.
Non-contact, clinically-supervised movement eliminates risk while preserving all therapeutic benefits: physical exertion that down-regulates the stress response, skill-based activity that builds attentional focus and self-control, and a consistent therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and accountability.
